Read the small print. Then read the room.

An investment tool can be beautifully presented and still leave its most useful questions unanswered. What changes your portfolio? Who can explain the change? What do you pay when the introductory period ends? PlainFolio starts there. We are a small independent fintech review desk, established in 2024, writing for readers who would rather understand a process than collect another dashboard.

Our beat is the machinery around personal investing: portfolio software, automated allocation, decision records and the language used to sell them. We look at how a product describes its job, what a reader can check, and where the description stops short of evidence. A tidy interface is useful. A clear account of responsibility is more useful still. Neither deserves to be mistaken for a promise of profit.

We favour plain English over promotional vocabulary. When a platform calls itself intelligent, we ask what information enters the system and what constraints guide its output. When it says transparent, we ask whether an ordinary person can follow the record. Our articles separate supplied product facts from editorial interpretation and point out missing information instead of filling the gaps with optimistic guesses.

Costs deserve the same scrutiny as features. Free access can help someone learn a tool, but it does not settle the eventual price or make a risky investment safe. We read fee structures as commitments to be clarified, not as headlines to repeat. We also consider the practical burden of onboarding, regional access and learning unfamiliar terminology.

Each review is a starting point for further questions. It is not a personalised investment recommendation, a league table of future winners or a substitute for keeping cash available for everyday needs. Patient readers should be able to recognise both the attraction of a product and a reasonable case for waiting.

This edition examines Deeptrize Edge through that lens. Our judgement concerns its stated design and the usefulness of its proposed controls. We do not claim a funded account test or verified investment results. The distinction matters: a coherent process may deserve attention well before it has earned lasting confidence.
