The people behind the desk

PlainFolio · Est. 2024. Rowan Keane leads our reviews of portfolio tools and decision records. Eleanor Whitcombe edits cost explanations and checks whether practical questions survive the final draft. These are our publication’s editorial bylines, not claims of regulated advisory status or professional credentials.

Our method starts with a product’s supplied description. We separate features from evidence, identify conditions on access, and look for the details a reader would need before using a service. Where we have not tested a live account, we say so. A score describes our editorial assessment of the stated proposition; it is not a forecast of returns.

The publication presents an independent editorial judgement rather than speaking on behalf of the platforms it covers. A product link identifies the subject’s own information. It does not validate that information, and no paid placement is represented as independent testing. This edition contains no claimed funded trial, customer interview or independently verified performance series.

Corrections should narrow a claim, not quietly replace one with another. Our articles carry their publication date so readers can judge their age. General explanations are intended to help readers ask better questions; personal financial decisions require attention to circumstances that a static article cannot know.
